Welcome to My Eurotrip

You probably got this link from the money you spend or going to spend. For this project I would like to ask you to send me this through email.

Serial number
What you spend it on
Where and
what date you spend it on

This information will be posted on this website by me, this way I’d like to make visible what different stuff you can buy for, for instance, five euro. I’d like to discover structures in the spending pattern throughout the years, for instance, the value of five euro could change.

This project is not only about making this visible, or to make it into a structured and systematic schedule. This project is more about the whole poetic of it. It’s about creating stories and making it feel like you’re a part of a group.

I’m aiming on the project to expand ‘itself’ throughout europe, and hoping to see this way the differences between the value of money in different countries.

See an example, of how the collected information will look like, below

*Ofcourse your email address will not be displayed on this website*
Send Email

(Also for questions, feel free to email me)
Example
(for example of how it could look like)
If you have a five euro bill and spend it together with other bills on, let’s say, a toaster of 15 euro’s, than you could send me an email with this:

Serial number : X32441942684
What you spend it on : 1/3rd of a toaster
Where and what date you spend it on : mediamarkt, november 6th, 2011
If you are planning on spending a five euro bill (or whatever euro bill) without this website link on it, please put the link on the bill so later on I would receive more information about this bill. This way you can also keep track on your ‘own’ bill.

my eurotrip
